My love for coffee started back during the COVID lockdowns, when the world slowed down, but I discovered something new. I began trying drinks from local coffee shops around Brownsville, and that simple routine quickly became a daily escape. Eventually, I bought a small $100 espresso machine just to learn how to make my own drinks at home.

I started experimenting with different beans, different roasts, and different brewing styles. Every week I wanted to try something new—from local roasters to bags shipped from across the country. What started as a hobby turned into a passion for making the perfect cup.

The name Un Cafecito comes from my family. Every time they visited, they’d say, “Hazme un cafecito.” It became a tradition—me making them a little coffee, and all of us sharing a moment together. That simple phrase stuck with me, and it represents everything I love about coffee: connection, comfort, and community.
